How to Clear Workplace Energy After a Difficult Meeting

A short post-meeting reset can stop workplace tension from following you through the rest of the day and into your home.
A tense meeting can linger in your body long after everyone closes the laptop. You may replay one comment, carry another person’s anger or remain braced for conflict that has already ended.
Separate facts from residue
Write down any decision, deadline or action you genuinely need. Then name the emotional residue—embarrassment, frustration, fear or defensiveness—without turning it into another task.
Reset the body before the next obligation
Leave the room if possible, place both feet on the floor and take five slow breaths. Roll your shoulders, wash your hands or step outdoors for two minutes. Physical movement tells your system the encounter is complete.
Close the energetic loop
Picture blue-white light clearing the space around you and say, “I keep the information and release the tension.” Return to one concrete task rather than reopening the entire meeting in your mind. Find more grounded practices on the Guided Energies blog.
