Energy Cleansing
How to Clear Your Energy After Spending Time With Draining People

A difficult visit can end while its emotional atmosphere stays with you. This gentle reset helps you release the interaction without carrying it through the rest of your day.
Some interactions end at the door but continue inside your body. You may replay the conversation, feel unusually tired or notice that your mood no longer feels like your own. Clearing that residue does not require blaming the other person or deciding they are spiritually dangerous.
Begin with the body
Wash your hands, loosen your shoulders and take three longer exhales. Name the physical feeling without building a story around it: tight chest, heavy eyes, restless stomach or racing thoughts. Observation tells your nervous system that the interaction is over and you are safe enough to release it.
Imagine returning anything that is not yours without anger. You can picture dust falling from your clothes or water carrying the emotional weight away. Silently say, ‘I release what I do not need to carry.’
Restore your own signal
Choose one sensory experience that belongs to you: a favorite song, fresh air, a warm shower or the texture of a familiar blanket. Then ask what you actually feel beneath the atmosphere you absorbed.
A boundary after the fact still counts. You may decide to shorten the next visit, avoid a familiar argument or take quiet time before answering another message. Energy clearing works best when it is paired with a practical change.
You can care about someone without becoming the container for everything they release. Returning to yourself is not rejection. It is how you remain compassionate without leaving every interaction depleted.
